Eden Gray – New Collaboration with Cornershop
I am delighted to reintroduce one of my former pupils, the talented Dutch singer-songwriter now performing under the name Eden Gray. Many of you will remember her as Inasens, when I first featured her music back in 2021. Since then, Eden has continued to grow as an artist, combining her distinctive voice with thoughtful songwriting and a passion for performance. Her latest work marks a new chapter in her career, and it is a joy for me as her former vocal coach to share this update with you.

Earlier Career as Inasens

Before adopting the name Eden Gray, she released music as Inasens. Her debut singles, “Closure” and “Smile from Heaven”, introduced her to a wider audience and showcased her natural ability to blend heartfelt lyrics with expressive vocal delivery. These songs marked the start of her artistic journey, and I was proud to see her early success both online and on radio.

2025 Collaboration with Cornershop
In 2025, Eden Gray has entered an exciting new chapter by collaborating with the iconic British band Cornershop — best known for their worldwide hit “Brimful of Asha”, which topped the UK charts in the late 1990s. With their unique fusion of indie rock, pop, and global influences, Cornershop earned international acclaim.

Eden’s new track with the band, “Amsterdam via Rotterdam”, was released just ten days ago and has already been well received, gaining strong radio play and positive press coverage. It’s an exciting step forward for her career, blending her distinctive voice with a band whose sound has inspired generations.
Highlighted on BBC 6 Music’s Roundtable, where Kevin Rowland described it as “genius… totally original… another level,” Amsterdam via Rotterdam showcases the creative chemistry between Cornershop and Eden Gray. Both reflective and uplifting, the track merges Cornershop’s vibrant sound with Eden’s poetic lyricism. The video, inspired by Eden’s grandmother, reimagines more than fifty vintage family photographs through generative AI — a poignant meditation on memory, youth, and the quiet beauty of small regrets.
Closing Thoughts
Watching Eden’s progress — from her early days as Inasens to her current achievements as Eden Gray — is deeply rewarding. She is a reminder of how talent, determination, and courage to evolve can open new doors in music. I look forward to seeing what she creates next, and I encourage you to follow her journey through her latest releases and performances.
